Upgrading the Sansan_CI package
Overview
This page is for users with a Sansan_CI package version below 1.58. Support for such packages will end on December 31, 2025. Follow the steps below to upgrade to the latest package.
Steps
1.Check your package version
Check the version of the package you’re using. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.
2.Upgrade based on your current package version
• If your package is below v. 1.25, you can’t directly upgrade to the latest version. Follow
these instructions to do the necessary steps before upgrading. When the upgrade is complete, move to Step 3.
• If your package is v. 1.25 or higher, but below 1.58, directly upgrade to the latest package.

3.Configure Sansan integration fields
Follow the instructions here to set up the Sansan integration fields
4.Request adding of fields to the business card object
Submit a request to the Support Center to add fields to the business card object.
*An internal update by Sansan is required to use newly added fields (country code, Virtual Cards, Contact Inbox, user contact creation, resigned employee flag, HR transfer issue date).

The upgrade may introduce additional custom fields, but there are no significant changes to operations or interfaces. The upgrade also doesn’t automatically enable campaign registration or lead promotion.
Q:I received the error message 「The installation request for package 'Sansan_CI vYYYY-MM-DD' was not successful.」 and cannot upgrade the package. What should I do?
A:Possible solutions:
• Check the top of the business card settings page if the error message says 「Post install script failed.」. If you see the text 「Update existing data」. Click, wait for the processing message to disappear, and then try upgrading again.
• If the error message is "Lead.Sansan_Lead_Matching_Rule_v2”, you've reached the maximum number of active matching rules allowed for this object. This means the upgrade adds a matching rule, and you’ve reached the limit for matching rules in your environment. Take these steps:
1. Salesforce settng Duplicate rules: Deactivate the duplicate rule associated with (Lead) Sansan matching rule.
2. Salesforce settings Matching rules: Delete ((Lead) Sansan matching rule.
3. Upgrade the Sansan_CI package.
4. Salesforce settings Matching rules: Confirm the following matching rule was created:
• Rule name: (Lead) Sansan matching rule
• Unique name: (Lead.Sansan_Lead_Matching_Rule_v2)
5. Reapply and activate the newly created matching rule in the duplicate rule disabled in step 1.
If you run into other errors, please contact the Support Center.
Q:What happens after support ends?
A:Versions earlier than 1.58 will no longer be supported and Sansan will be unable to assist with technical issues or inquiries. Please upgrade to the latest version by December 31.
